AMC B Policy

All Harker students are invited to take the AMC A. The test will take place on [TBA date]. 

Students interested in taking the AMC B on [TBA date] must be active Math Club members. If you are a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader, then you must accumulate a total of 16 points from last November to this October. If you are a 9th grader, then you must earn 6 points.

Check out our schedule for upcoming events! Here are some ways you can earn points:

• Competing in a travel contest (BMT, HMMT, SMT, etc.): 8 points

• Competing in an in-school or online contest (BAMO, SMT Online, Purple Comet, etc.): 3-4 points

• Attending a meeting (Arete, lectures, etc.): 1 point

• Giving a lecture: 4 points

• Volunteering at select events: 3 points

• Solving a Problem of the Week: 1 point (+ 1 point for suggesting the problem)
