Welcome to Math Club!
Travel competitions are a great way to learn and do math, make friends, and meet new people (and tour colleges)! Most competitions feature multiple team, proof, and individual rounds as well as fun activities like estimathons, puzzles, and speaker events.
Registration costs will be covered by Math Club, but transportation will not be provided.
* We have limited spots for SMT, HMMT Feb, and CMM. We will select teams for those competitions using a team selection test (TST) according to the policy below.
2025-26 Team Selection Policy
- Teams will be selected using TST scores
- To break ties, your track record in math competitions, especially in the past year, will be evaluated; e.g. MAA competitions and travel competitions (only competitions you compete for Harker at will count)
- We reserve the right to not select students who drop out of Math Club commitments without a valid excuse, or compete for an outside organization at a competition Harker participates in

Berkeley Math Tournament is taking place on Saturday, November 8 at UC Berkeley. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, October 2.
11/15 - MMATHS (8 points)
Math Majors of America Tournament for High Schools is taking place on Saturday, November 15 at multiple colleges across the country—the site closest to us is USC. Former Math Club President Stephen Xia '23 is the president of this competition! If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, October 30.
11/22 - PUMaC (8 points)
Princeton University Math Competition is taking place on Saturday, November 22 at Princeton. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, October 2.
1/24 - CMM (8 points) *
Caltech Math Meet is taking place on Saturday, January 24 at Caltech. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Wednesday, November 12.
2/14 - HMMT Feb (8 points) *
Harvard-MIT Math Tournament (February) is taking place on Saturday, February 14 at MIT. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, December 4. Please note that HMMT rules prohibit you from competing for another organization.
2/25 - BAMO (4 points)
Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad is taking place on Wednesday, February 25 at 3:45pm. This 4-hour contest will be hosted at school and dinner will be provided. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, February 5.
2/28 - BrUMO (8 points)
Brown University Math Olympiad is taking place on Saturday, February 28 at Brown. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Friday, December 12.
3/7 - BrUMO Online (4 points)
Brown University Math Olympiad Online is taking place on Saturday, March 7. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Tuesday, February 3.
3/28 - CMIMC (8 points)
Carnegie Mellon Informatics and Mathematics Competition is taking place on Saturday, March 28 at CMU. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Thursday, February 5.
4/14 or 4/16 - Purple Comet (3 points)
Purple Comet Math Meet is taking place on Tuesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 16 at 3:30pm. This 90-minute team contest will be hosted at school. You can compete in teams of up to 6. If you would like to participate, please have one member of your team fill out this form by Thursday, April 9. You can also sign up without a team, and we will combine you with others also looking for a team.
4/18 - SMT (8 points)
Stanford Math Tournament is taking place on Saturday, April 18 at Stanford. Former Math Club President Olivia Xu '24, former Math Club Officer Emma Gao '24, and former HMI Tournament Director Jacqueline Huang '25 are three of the organizers of this competition. If you would like to participate, fill out this form by Tuesday, February 17. Please note that SMT rules prohibit you from competing for another organization.
4/19 - SMT Online (4 points)
Stanford Math Tournament is taking place on Sunday, April 19. Former Math Club President Olivia Xu '24, former Math Club Officer Emma Gao '24, and former HMI Tournament Director Jacqueline Huang '25 are three of the organizers of this competition.
